Constitutional objectives

To provide relief to those persons in need having the lifelong disability of Autism Spectrum Disorders, prior to, during and subsequent to clinical diagnosis and to support their families/carers by stimulating public awareness and understanding of Autism, promoting community involvement and support for persons with Autism and their families, familiarising and advising the community of the special skills, services and understanding necessary for the care and best practise in supporting persons with Autism so as to enable such persons to develop to their full potential. To promote equality and diversity for persons with Autism by advocating for, protecting and acting in the interests of persons with Autism or Autism-like traits so that they are not disadvantaged compared to those without Autism, to strengthen self-awareness of persons with Autism, to develop their personality, confidence, self-respect and sense of responsibility, allowing persons with Autism to see that they enrich their community with diversity and that the community values their contribution and by identifying areas/services in need of support in the education, welfare, social, health and any other aspect relevant to promoting the welfare and acceptance of persons with Autism. To provide recreational facilities or organise recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for persons on the Autism Spectrum, their families and carers.
