02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We provide the only opportunity on the island for people to participate in classical choral singing. There are no auditions and informal musical education is provided during rehearsals. Generally a minimum of 2 concerts are held each year.

Constitutional objectives
The association's objects are: a) to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the members see fit, including the presentation of public concerts and recitals b) to further such charitable purpose or purposes as the members in their absolute discretion shall think fit but in particular through the making of grants and donations
