02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
To encourage co-operative working between landowners, farmers, communities and local businesses in an around the Carse of Stirling on land-use and heritage issues that might previously have been dealt with in isolation. The Partnership brings together people from different backgrounds and sectors to discuss and take action on issues such as flood management on the Carse, farm wildlife surveys, footpath access between local villages, cultural heritage and promoting the area as a visitor destination.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation?s purposes are to: 4.1 Advance environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community (as defined by the attached map). ?Sustainable Development? means development which meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. 4.2 Preserve for the benefit of the general public, the historical, architectural and constructional heritage that may exist in and around the Community. 4.3 Advance citizenship and community development within the Carse of Stirling. 4.4 Advance the education of the Community and the wider public about the environment, culture and heritage, and how land can be used to deliver public benefits.
