02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Carriage driving RDA offers accessible equine therapy and sport for individuals who cannot ride or prefer a different challenge. Delivery requires adapted carriages accommodating wheelchairs., approved equines and an approved coach accompanied by at least two trained volunteers. At least two volunteers assist with wheelchair clamps, ramps and as side cyclists if in the road. Drivers can progress through proficiency tests, learn technical driving and compete in RDA regional events and thw National Championships. The official rules , volunteer information and training is coordinated through the National RDA Office.
