02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We have made the community Hall an inclusive place for recreation purposes and to facilitate the need of our rural community.

Constitutional objectives
a) to advance community development, in and around the operating area. By: i. the provision of recreational and sporting facilities for the public in the area represented by the Knockando Community Association, or any successor body or those who for reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, have need of such facilities. ii. The development of capacity and skills of the members of community organisations in the area represented by the Knockando Community Association, or any successor body in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and participate more fully in society. iii. The improvement, protection or conservation of the environment in the area represented by Knockando Community Association, or any successor body, in particular, but not exclusively by advancing education in issues relating to climate change and environmental issues including the use and production of energy from renewable resources and micro energy iv. The creation, development, management and promotion of community events, projects and festivals.
