02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity attends life threatening emergency calls including but not exclusively, cardiac arrest, medical collapse and other situations as determined by the Scottish Ambulance Service or other NHS Ambulance Service provider to those in need within the agreed geographical area in Peeblesshire that the organisation serves. We have a small group of Trustees and a larger group of volunteers who meet weekly for training. All volunteers who go on call are trained and supported by the Scottish Ambulance Service. We support and maintain a network of defibrillators within Peeblesshire, developing partnership agreements with the host organisations. We also provide CPR training to community groups and schools.
