02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Fettercairn Farmers Club is set up to bring together people from the area together and raise money for local and national charities. We are also giving opportunities to share skills and ideas through different generations and offering emotional support for those that need it. The Fettercairn Farmers club this year have run some very successful fund raising events, the annual agricultural show had a glorious day and a large crowd. The annual shoot, cereal, neep competitions and the horse/pony trek and tractor run were all well attended, bringing different parts of our community together for a day. The committee work together to do as much fund raising as possible in preparation for this coming years annual show. It will be the 200th anniversary of the club and we are looking to make it special. The club supported our local charities including, Fettercairn Public property committee, guides and sheltered housing with donations and the national brain cancer trust.
