Constitutional objectives
The organisation?s purposes are: 1. The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. 2. The advancement of education. To these ends the Group will: Create an educational and visitor hub based on Birrens Roman Fort, the surrounding marching camps, related buildings, the surrounding land that lies within the scheduled monument and areas of historic interest as defined by Historic Scotland, and Burnswark. Create public awareness of Birrens and the important historic role that it played in local society. Organise events, help organise archaeological digs. Work with Historic Scotland and local Archaeologists? Development Planning and Environment teams.
