02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity has worked within the geographical area of Moray to deliver volunteering opportunities, skills workshops, and a range of recreational events for people with additional support needs or a physical, learning, or hidden disability together with their families or carers. Our focus has been on enabling independent living. we have done this by promoting the development of life skills, in particular those that people need to gain sustainable employment or experience of the world of work.

Purpose, Area of Benefit, and Beneficiaries 4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only. The Trustees assert the following as statements of the organisation's purpose, vision and mission. Purpose: Ray's Opportunities exists to provide a safe space with access for all where partners can address a range of community needs. Vision: Ray's Opportunities seeks to increase the range of choices for local people to live independently. Mission: Ray's Opportunities works to empower local people with opportunities to achieve. It has the following charitable objects - 4.1 The relief of those in need by reason of disability . 4.2 The organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving he conditions of life for those in need by reason of disability. 4.3 The advancement of education .
