Constitutional objectives
7.1 In Glasgow and the West of Scotland, the SCIO will promote, advance and further its charitable purposes by operating as a grant giving charity which will support financially and otherwise through (but not limited to) the following :- 7.1.1 scholarships, professorships, fellowships and arranging lectures of a high and international standing. and 7.1.2 education, training, professional development and research, services, equipment and facilities in fields of medicine and related professions connected to the causes, diagnosis, treatment and care of cancer and malignant disease, including matters affecting patients, families and others (which shall include palliative care)
