02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
East of Scotland Jazz Education is set up a) to provide opportunities for the general public to develop skills and confidence in musical performance, particularly but not exclusively in the genre of jazz, and b) to advance the arts through musical education and performance. We do this primarily through running a residential jazz course in Scotland each summer., which is open to players and singers of all ages, abilities and instruments/voices. We offer bursaries for eligible participants of any age who would benefit from attending the course but need financial support in order to be able to do so.
