02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity is set up to promote the performance, participation, teaching and enjoyment of all forms of dance. During the year the charity put on a successful dance event in conjunction with the Macphail Centre, Ullapool, when Cuban dancer Noel Hernandez, who has previously taught classes for the charity, visited the village to lead a Latin Dance Day, with classes in the daytime and an evening party. The successful event attracted attendees from further afield as well as locals. A similar event will be put on in 2026.

Constitutional objectives
3.3 To further the advancement of education, citizenship and community development through enabling access for all in participation, performance, creative expression, learning, development, and enjoyment in very wide range of dance forms. also through providing and promoting high quality dance experiences though the Ullapool Dance Festival and developing year-round dance opportunities for the area which will serve to connect scattered and isolated individuals and communities
