Constitutional objectives

The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular its purposes shall be the advancement of education, the advancement of citizenship and community development and the organisation of recreational activities with the aim of improving the conditions of life of members of the local community. The organisation will achieve these purposes through the following activities: to promote the use of local internet community radio across the North Scottish Highlands and beyond. to involve members of the local communities serviced by North Highland Radio in the development and advancement of their local community radio station. and to work with similar organisations as well as individual residents in the local communities to offer training opportunities in broadcasting and radio station operation to advance career development or simply community volunteering. and to promote the opportunity for residents in the North Highland community how may have an interest in broadcasting but are unable to travel to the station and enabling them to be part of a local community station from home. and to develop the station to such a standard that an application can be made for full community FM radio licensing in the name of North Highland Radio SCIO.
