The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. (a) Assisting the charitable work of organisations and bodies who are engaged in promoting the relief of such persons through the provision of appropriate services including the operation of Community Transport. (b) Investigating potential improvements to transport arrangements for the above categories of people both within and external connections to and from Dumfries and Galloway. (c) Providing a Forum for the discussion of transport issues, as they affect those mentioned above, for and with the voluntary sector and with the Local Authority.
