02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our aim is to reduce isolation and promote social interaction for our members aged 14 and over, helping to improve quality of life and build self-esteem. We believe our members should be able to lead positive, fulfilling lives and enjoy the same experiences and opportunities as others, and we are committed to making this happen. We run two sessions a week, one session every second Friday, a karaoke evening last Thursday of the month and day trips throughout the year. The Charity provides a welcoming space where our member can gather each week to socialise and build friendships. Activities include arts and crafts, baking sessions, games, movie nights, karaoke and disco evenings. We also organise day trips and run a special summer programme which gives our member the chance to step out of there routines and explore new places during the holidays.
