02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Our charity exists to support the School by raising funds and providing resources that enhance pupils’ experiences. We run a programme of community-focused fundraising events throughout the year, such as fairs, discos and raffles, which bring families together and generate income for school projects. We use these funds to support educational and enrichment activities, including year group celebrations, learning materials, creative projects and visiting experiences. We also help develop pupils’ enterprise skills through small-scale initiatives that encourage them to plan and run their own fundraising activities. To strengthen our presence at school events, we equip volunteers so they are easily identifiable and able to engage families and visitors. Everything we do aims to improve opportunities for pupils and support the wider school community.

Constitutional objectives
The objectives of the Parent Council are the Advancement of Education which will be achieved by the following methods: 1. To work in partnership with the School to create a welcoming school that is inclusive for all parents. 2. To promote close partnership between the School, its pupils and all its Parents. 3. To develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of the pupils including providing or assisting in the provision of facilities to enhance education at the School. 4. To identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the School and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils. 5. To support and oversee the school Parent Teachers Association in all their activities. 6. To be accountable for its activities and those of any sub-committee such as the PTA.
