02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The present form of ARC - Kingussie was set up to provide events to entertain the residents and visitors to the area of Badenoch postcode PH21 and PH20. We do this by running a weekly film Club from September - April, holding an annual 3-4 day Film/Food Festival and musical evenings throughout the year. In 2023 we undertook to hold the weekly Film Club in our local 'village hall' and have been active in undertaking maintenance and improvements to the building.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation has been formed to benefit the community of Kingussie and Badenoch as defined by the postcode areas PH21 and PH20 (the ‘Community’) with the following purposes: 4.1. Maintenance, regeneration and improvement of the communities’ physical, economic, social and cultural infrastructure. 4.2. Advancement of education and training, arts, culture, heritage and recreation, and environmental improvement. But such that the charity shall do so following principles of sustainable development.
