What the charity exists to do

SISU exists to dismantle systemic barriers and provide empowering support and opportunities for women and girls affected by gender-based injustice, violence, discrimination, and inequality. Through advocacy, community education, and an open innovation approach, we are reimagining care systems to validate experiences, restore trust, and ensure equality for all. We are committed to implementing restorative justice to address both visible and invisible harms, ensuring that systemic reform leads to lasting change.

Constitutional objectives

4.1 To advance the physical and mental health of women and girls who are suffering from, or have suffered from, or at risk of, violence and abuse. 4.2 The prevention or relief of poverty amongst women and girls by providing personal and professional development opportunities designed to enable young women to lead fulfilled lives free from financial hardship. 4.3 To advance education opportunities for young women by enhancing self-esteem, training and skills development and creating enabling pathways to learning and self sufficiency.
