Constitutional objectives

The objects for which the Foundation is incorporated are: The relief of rural poverty and social exclusion, both nationally and internationally, by the provision of appropriate assistance to co-operatives and social enterprises directed to that aim, in particular but not exclusively by: (a) providing or assisting in the provision of advisory and consultancy services. (b) managing projects involving co-operatives or social enterprises. and (c) contributing to the development of policy concerning those organisations To advance education in matters related to co-operatives and social enterprises and their potential to relieve poverty and social exclusion in rural areas, both nationally and internationally, in particular but not exclusively by: (a) providing or assisting in the provision of education and training to the public in the knowledge and skills relevant to their establishment and management. (b) the promotion or commission of research for public benefit. (c) providing an educational resource. and (d) the publication of books, periodicals, pamphlets or other printed material.
