02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Provide therapeutic and competitive activities to children and adults with additional support needs. We believe in the power of horses to transform lives, and provide a safe and welcoming environment for people of all ages to experience the benefits of being around horses. Our activities, such as riding, horse care, vaulting, and tea with a pony, improve physical and emotional well being and promote skills development in a fun way.

The organisation's purpose is to promote the objects of the Riding for the Disabled Association incorporating Carriage Driving (Company No 5010395) a charity registered under Charity Number SC039473 ('the Company') by providing disabled people with the opportunity to ride and/or to carriage drive to benefit their health and wellbeing in the Central Scotland area.
