02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The charity organises weekly club nights throughout the playing season where members of all abilities are welcome to play social tennis. Coaching is also organised for adults and juniors in different groups by ability. Tennis camps are arranged during school holidays for Primary and Secondary age school children. The club also enters teams in local leagues to encourage competitive tennis. Throughout the year, social and fund-raising activities are held such as ceilidhs and quizzes

Constitutional objectives

The organisations purposes are: To provide facilities and equipment for playing tennis as a means of promoting community participation in healthy recreational activity amongst the inhabitants of Glenfarg and the surrounding areas. To advance public participation in sport through the provision of recreational facilities. To provide a program of tennis activities, for all levels of ability, with the object of improving the conditions of life for those who wish to participate.
