What the charity exists to do
The Neil Mackenzie Trust provides Expedition grants for small groups, families or individuals to go anywhere in the world, and outdoor skills training grants for anyone resident in Scotland over the age of 14.

Constitutional objectives
The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of £1 paid by us to them, and such other funds and assets as may from time to time be comprised in the Trust Property, in trust for the purposes of the advancement of education and public participation in sport, through:- (a) assisting individuals to participate in physical outdoor activities in Scotland and other countries, (b) assisting individuals to learn about the history and culture of Scotland and other countries, (c) assisting individuals with training in outdoor skills
