02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We are set up as a charity sports club with the aim of providing a space for members to enjoy table tennis. We do this by managing a let, assets (sports equipment), maintaining memberships, and overseeing lots of other activities. We also operate a free 'pop in and play' service which allows many members of the public to enjoy the sport in their local community shopping centre. We have also provided classes to groups of scouts, colleges, and other groups. We facilitate competitive play in the Edinburgh and Lothian leagues.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation’s purposes are: 4.1 to advance public participation in table tennis in West Lothian, increasing access to table tennis and encouraging and facilitating coaching programmes in table tennis for both children and adults. and 4.2 to advance community development through working with a range of local organisations, encouraging different groups to collaborate and maximise the involvement of local people in the development of the sporting facilities, in support of clause 4.1.
