What the charity exists to do
The charity's purpose is: To support work improving the lives of local people (Scotland) who may have not otherwise had the opportunity given their upbringing or disabilities. The main activities undertaken in support of this purpose are: The trust will make financial awards in the manner of grants and donations to organisations whose work supports the above charitable purpose and who meet the Trust's criteria.

Constitutional objectives
Trust purposes 1. The Trustees shall hold and apply the sum of £1 paid by us to them, and such other funds and assets as may from time to time be comprised in the Trust Property, in trust for the following charitable purposes:- (a) The prevention or relief of poverty. (b) The advancement of education. (c) The advancement of religion. (d) The advancement of health. (e) The saving of lives. (f) The advancement of citizenship or community development. (g) The advancement of the arts, heritage, culture or science. (h) The advancement of public participation in sport. (i) Providing recreational facilities or organising recreational activities with the aim of improving the conditions of life for the people for whom the facilities or activities are mainly intended. (j) The advancement of human rights, conflict resolution or reconciliation. (k) The promotion of religious or racial harmony. (I) The promotion of equality and diversity. (m) The advancement of environmental protection or improvement. (n) The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage.
