Constitutional objectives

2. The association's objects are: a) To preserve and enhance Ormiston Park, an amenity, open and recreational space for the village of Ormiston and surrounding communities, through cooperation with East Lothian Council, Ormiston Community Council, and other associated interested organisations. b) To support the provision of recreational facilities and activities in Ormiston Park for the benefit of the public at large including, but not limited to,: - 0 Appreciation and conservation of the area's outstanding natural beauty 0 Conservation and enhancement of the area's bio-diversity 0 Understanding and interpretation of the local archaeological and heritage value of the area 0 Decorative gardens 0 Games and sports activities 0 Children's play facilities 0 Social and celebratory events for the community 0 Ancillary refreshment and utility facilities 0 Training and development opportunities. 0 Quiet recreational activities 0 Improved and sustainable access to the site c) To work with statutory and voluntary sector organisations on the ongoing development and maintenance of existing and new facilities in ways that will best meet the social and recreational needs of the wider community without detriment to the existing aspect and amenity of the park, casual recreational use, local residential properties. d) To provide opportunities and structures for local people to become involved in the management, usage and future development of the park as a socially inclusive community resource
