02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities will have the key objective of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. Identify and analyse all community activities/projects already being carried out by Particip8 Overton (including scheduling, costing and responsibility for implementation). We will endeavour to prioritise those community development activities that have the most impact and identify those that should be improved, expanded and potentially not taken forward.

Constitutional objectives

4 a) The aim of Particip8 Overton is the advancement of community development by providing an overall action planning framework to take a proactive and consistent stance on community initiatives, and how they should be monitored and evaluated. We will provide a collaborative approach in overseeing the development of the relevant activities by bringing appropriate partners together to promote and improve the Cambuslang East area, including the communities of Flemington, Halfway, Cairns, Overton, Lightburn, Westburn, Newton, Drumsagard, Hallside and Greenlees. b) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities will have the key objective of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
