02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Since 2009 the aim of the group has been to bring the relevant partners together to to oversee the development and the provision of activities that will promote and improve the Cambuslang East Ward. Events held with local residents to capture/articulate their views, needs and aspirations to develop a Community Led Plan that will contribute to and influence decisions which directly affect their lives. Fund raising to support Free - Easter Fun Day, Summer Gala, Community Fireworks, Christmas Light Switch The funding will allow the group to purchase the required resources to continue to support the delivery of local conversation to be held with local communities in the area. In addition the funding will help to facilitate the generation additional funding sources, allow the facilitation and delivery of several community projects for all ages including training and eventsfor all ages and abilities. The resources acquired will allow the group to engage on an ongoing basis.

Constitutional objectives
4 a) The aim of Particip8 Overton is the advancement of community development by providing an overall action planning framework to take a proactive and consistent stance on community initiatives, and how they should be monitored and evaluated. We will provide a collaborative approach in overseeing the development of the relevant activities by bringing appropriate partners together to promote and improve the Cambuslang East area, including the communities of Flemington, Halfway, Cairns, Overton, Lightburn, Westburn, Newton, Drumsagard, Hallside and Greenlees. b) The provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities will have the key objective of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. Identify and analyse all community activities/projects already being carried out by Particip8 Overton (including scheduling, costing and responsibility for implementation).We will endeavour to prioritise those community development activities that have the most impact and identify those that should be improved, expanded and potentially not taken forward
