02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The Aboyne Arts and Theatre Development Group(SCIO) is a registered charity , it's purpose is the advancement of the arts, culture and film in Aboyne and the surrounding area , We presently organise Films for : Children , Mainstream Films and special interest Films We currently show these twice a month National theatre live events when available throughout the year Musical performances and shows 3/4 a year English national opera throughout the year Theses are either shown or held in the Deeside Community Theatre and elsewhere in the area of ' benefit' we have also made grants to other charities whose purposes promote the advancement of the arts and culture in the area of 'benefit' We hold regular Trustee meetings throughout the year which cover Financial matters , replacing equipment as and when needed , looking at improvements , training for our volunteers and trustees , and the chance to explore possible new activities and events
