What the charity exists to do
FIDC is set up to promote activities aimed at improving the lives of current and new islanders. We are primarily focused on housing and population growth as identified as a key priority by the community. We are involved in supporting infrastructure projects that will make Fair Isle an attractive and prosperous place to live and work, whether that be transport and connectivity or making use of island assets to provide facilities and business opportunities. We are investigating how to support our off grid electricity supply, tourism opportunities and employment prospects.
