02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Lothian Hall continues to prioritise engagement with the local community through a varied programme of events accessible to all users. Following the change in committee membership in January 2023, a more positive and proactive management approach has been adopted, resulting in increased use of the facility. Over the reporting period, the hall has been let for a range of purposes, including: Community Council meetings Weddings Birthday parties Funeral teas

Constitutional objectives
The association is a non-profit-distributing voluntary association, which aims to provide and maintain a Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of the hamlets of Crailing and Nisbet and environs without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
