02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Renfrew Association of Growers and Gardeners (RAGG),based in Broadloan Gardens, is a non-profit organisation that provides an open access, inclusive garden and growing space serving both our local community and individual plot holders. We provide a safe and thriving garden connecting people to nature and, through this, we will improve the physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing and confidence of residents living in Renfrew and the surrounding area. We endeavour, through hands-on education, to help children and adults learn gardening and enjoyment of outdoor places and promote growing healthy, organic produce while caring for our local natural area. We will work with the Community to encourage involvement to support drop-in sessions and maintenance of the Gardens. We will engage with the local Community and schools by arranging open days, events, providing fresh produce to the local foodbank and encouraging participation from all Members and interested diverse groups.
