What the charity exists to do
Charity exists to train and increase the skills African Surgical trainees to UK standards certified by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. To advance health outcomes of patients, and promote the education and skills of African surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 to advance the education of African surgeons, surgical trainees, nurses and healthcare professionals through the provision of training programmes. 4.2 to advance the health of patients in African countries after surgical operations by ensuring those carrying out the procedures are fully trained thus resulting in the relief of symptoms and suffering. 4.3 the relief of those in need by reason of ill-health by increasing the skills of the local surgeons and health care professionals, thus improving the health and well wellbeing of patients.
