02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Super Power Agency is a literacy and creative writing charity that supports children and young people, particularly those facing disadvantage or barriers to learning. We use creative writing, storytelling and the arts to improve literacy skills, build confidence, raise aspirations and support wellbeing. We deliver in-school and community-based workshops, longer-term creative programmes and mentoring opportunities for young people aged 8–18. Our work is designed to engage children who may feel disconnected from traditional learning approaches, helping them to discover their voice and express themselves creatively. We work closely with schools, volunteers, artists and community partners across Scotland to create inclusive, supportive environments where young people can develop skills, confidence and self-belief through writing and creativity.
