02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Youth Inspired are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals who specialise in the mental and emotional wellbeing of our young people and their families. We are a collective of BACP/COSCA registered Psychotherapists/Counsellors/Coaches, Youth Workers, Recovery & Wellbeing Practitioners and central to our work is our collaborative approach. We work at a community level providing group activities, one to one's and therapy to families who cannot afford to access private services. Everyone at YI is heard, valued, seen and respected.

Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: To advance the health and education of young people by assisting them in identifying the risk and associated harms of drug and alcohol misuse and in furtherance thereof: To improve the physical and emotional health of young people by offering young people affected by substance misuse the opportunity to engage in therapeutic interventions To better improve the physical and emotional health of young people by introducing them to the concept of recovery and supporting them on their recovery journey, working towards the goals of equipping them to lead more positive, healthier lives. To reduce the stigma and shame carried by young people who are associated with addiction by educating the wider community on the cause of addiction.
