02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Vector24 exists to remove barriers to wellbeing for the Armed Forces community, including veterans, serving personnel, seafarers, fishers and their families, and for others experiencing isolation or difficulty accessing support. Our core purpose is to ensure no one is prevented from reaching essential services, healthcare, mental health support, and community engagement due to transport limitations or personal circumstances. We deliver our mission through specialist, barrier-free transport support, allowing individuals to access critical healthcare and recovery services. Beyond transport, we provide holistic, person-centred wellbeing support and volunteer-led outreach. Our Wellbeing Pathway guides individuals through access, support, and connection towards greater stability. We also identify emerging needs and work with partners to connect people with joined-up care, ensuring every interaction combines compassion, consistency, and understanding.
