02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

It was established in 2007 to undertake religious activities. It has kept this as its main raison d'etre but since then it has developed into a key organisation within the community. We work closely with Falkirk Council children's services and support local families, that they have identified, as in need of clothes or household goods. At Christmas time we support families, again identified by family support and intensive family support, with new PJ's and toys. This latter activity has grown dramatically over the years and indicative of the rising need and poverty within the community.. Our volunteers support community organisations through fund raising activities by organising evening events and all the income goes to that charity. These are groups like children's football teams or dance groups. We have also contributed to fund raising for sick children to receive medical attention abroad. We have day workshops to bring the community together.
