02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

The South African Children’s Charitable Trust (SACCT) is established to support vulnerable children and young people, primarily in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, by improving access to education, care, and opportunities for a brighter future. We work in partnership with trusted local organisations, including iKhethelo Children’s Village, to provide safe living environments, educational support, and holistic care. Our activities include funding school fees, uniforms, and learning resources. supporting education, residential care and wellbeing programs. and enabling skills development initiatives that empower young people to become independent and resilient. We raise funds through donations, events, and partnerships and ensure that support is delivered directly where it is most needed, creating lasting, positive impact for children, their families, and wider communities.
