02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The club is set up to provide recreational facilities and organise recreational events in the field of model aircraft flying with the objective of improving the conditions of life for those persons who wish to be involved in the sport. The club maintains a permanent flying location in Lanarkshire which is operated and maintained by the club's members. It has a club house at the site which provides undercover shelter and a venue for members to meet and socialise. There and a toilet block which is wheel chair accessible. The club provides training for those who wish to learn to fly model aircraft and it holds dedicated weekly training events during the flying season. The club also arranges several fun events during the flying season to encourage it's members, and members from other flying clubs to meet and socialise.
