02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

West of Scotland Anaesthetic Teaching (WOSAT) is a charity dedicated to improving anaesthetic education across the West of Scotland. We deliver high-quality teaching, workshops, and educational resources that support safe, effective clinical practice for trainees, nurses and consultants. We also offer bursaries to medical students, anaesthetic trainees, and those undertaking postgraduate study, helping to widen access to education and support professional development. In addition, we support healthcare in developing countries by providing anaesthetic equipment to hospitals and clinicians who need it most, helping to strengthen safe anaesthesia services worldwide.
