Constitutional objectives
4.1 We will offer activities and educational opportunities which enable young people who are at risk of educational and social exclusion to reach their potential by providing opportunities for achievement and personal development in a well-supported agricultural/ horticultural setting. Learning many useful skills which can be transferred to their own lives, in their own environment. Give a wider view to education being about lifelong learning. 4.2 To improve the mental and physical health and well-being of those disadvantaged in or disengaged from society. It is known that continued isolation and the inability to participate in social interaction can cause deterioration in mental and then physical health. By offering a range of agricultural or horticultural activities we will start to reengage these individuals, and the cared for can become the carers. This can raise people?s self-confidence, promoting a brighter out look to life and so re-enter society. The physical activity within the tasks themselves can raise peoples physical and mental well-being.
