What the charity exists to do

The Trust is currently split into nine categories, by location and charitable purpose: Dufftown – for the prevention or relief of poverty, and recreational use Elgin – for those in need by reason of age Elgin – prevention or relief of poverty Elgin – provision of recreational facilities Elgin & Forres – prevention or relief of poverty Forres – for those in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage Keith – for the relief, financial assistance or welfare of the inhabitants of Keith Lossiemouth – for the prevention or relief of poverty

Constitutional objectives

We direct the Trustee to hold such sums of money, stocks and shares and other assets as may from time to time be paid or conveyed to the Trustee by us or other persons and the investments and property from time to time representing the same (all hereinafter referred to as the 'Trust Fund') as capital and to disburse from the revenue income generated and/or capital therefrom, grants and donations to the beneficiaries as described in the Trust Conditions being the conditions set out in Clause 3.3 for the following purposes (hereinafter referred to as the 'Trust Purposes'): (a) for the prevention or relief of poverty. (b) to provide relief, financial assistance or welfare for those inhabitants of the Trust Area who are in need by reason of age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. and (c) the provision of recreational facilities or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended.
