02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Shettleston Harriers is an Athletics Club based in the East End of Glasgow, with the aim of making athletics available to all. The club achieves this by: -running regular athletics training sessions for people of all ages from Run Jump Throw (ages 5+) through t Masters level. The club runs coaching sessions for all disciplines of athletics. -Using sport as a vector for positive change and outcomes within the community, through outreach work, education, training and providing our members with positive opportunities. -The club aims to make athletics affordable through the provision of subsidised or free entries to competitions, memberships and access to facilities -The club runs competitions for athletes from all over the country, thereby adding to the vibrant Scottish Athletics community
