02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
Menzieshill Whitehall Swimming and Waterpolo Club is a registered charity with the aim to cater for all swimming/waterpolo levels from learn to swim/play polo, competitive swimmers/competitive matches to adult improver swimming. This is done in accordance with the Scottish Swimming framework. To achieve these aims, the Club charges session fees to cover the hire of the pool time. The coaches, poolside helpers, technical officials and committee members are all volunteers. The Club also fundraises to keep the session fees low and allow for training costs for the volunteers.
