Constitutional objectives

The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 the advancement, appreciation and promotion of the arts, culture and heritage in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland for the benefit of the public in Scotland and elsewhere. 4.2 the advancement of community development and to encourage the rejuvenation of Edinburgh city centre and in particular Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh, Scotland. and 4.3 the advancement of education through the promotion of the arts, culture and heritage in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland. 4.4 the advancement of public participation in and enjoyment of sport of all kinds. all of which shall be achieved by: 4.4.1 Establishing the Ross Bandstand in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland as a suitable venue for all forms of activity and events whether cultural, arts or sports related or which has some other form of public benefit by replacing the existing Ross Bandstand with an iconic purpose built events venue that reflects and is in keeping with the Edinburgh heritage but which also has a modern and cutting edge design that will benefit both the local population and visitors to Edinburgh alike, ideally becoming an internationally acclaimed and landmark attraction in Edinburgh in its own right. and 4.4.2 By rejuvenating, redeveloping, restoring, conserving, maintaining, replacing, improving, enhancing and where appropriate carrying out such activities to the Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, Scotland in whatever way the trustees consider to be appropriate and which are in accordance with the organisation's purposes.
