02 Purpose and work

What the charity exists to do

Our asscociation was set up more than 60 years ago with the aim of providing facilities for the use of all the pensioners in our village. We own our hall and rely on fundraisers and donations to keep us afloat. We have weekly coffee mornings (Thursdays), an annual outing in June, several concerts throughout the year and have other fundraisers such as raffles and bring and buy sales. Our members can have the use of our hall for any occasion eg Wedding Anniversaries, birthdays free of charge. Our hall is used by other groups eg Art Club, Astronomers Club as well as for childrens parties, baby showers etc all for a small fee
