02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
For over three decades, our charity has played a unique role in shaping the future of the hospitality industry, and we’re more determined than ever to create opportunities that help individuals to grow – from those just starting their profession or looking to broaden their skills and experience, to senior leaders ready to take their impact further. We offer a wide range of development opportunities across our Scholarships, as well as our Executive & Leadership Programmes – all designed to support individuals and elevate the industry as a whole. These are all made possible through our calendar of fundraising events, generous donations, and our corporate sponsorships.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 To relieve those in need by reason of financial hardship or other disadvantage by providing financial assistance to persons who are or have been engaged in the hotel and catering industry in Scotland and 4.2 Any other similar charitable purposes which are carried out in Scotland. The aims of the trustees are to help people studying in Scotland for qualifications in Hospitality and Catering, and those working in the industry in Scotland, improve their skills and levels of attainment, and in so doing to raise standards generally within the industry. This is done by offering financial support through a programme of grants, scholarships and sponsorships.
