02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative (WICCI) was set up to provide practical, emotional and financial support to people affected by cancer across the Western Isles. It's aim is to address the specific challenges faced by cancer patients and their families, including isolation, financial hardship and difficulties accessing support. WICCI provides services such as financial grants, counselling, complementary therapies, support groups, care boxes, information and signposting to other services. Its overall purpose is to improve wellbeing and help people and families navigate their cancer journey with greater support and less disadvantage.
