02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The organisation's core purpose is to advance education and action on climate change by fostering understanding of its environmental, social, and economic dimensions and developing leadership skills in young adults (18–35). It aims to empower this under-represented group to drive meaningful progress in addressing the climate crisis. Key activities include: I. Youth Climate Summit: An annual event fostering collaboration, networking, and skills development among young people, experts, and activists. III. CALP Alumni Network: A platform providing ongoing support, mentorship, and collaboration opportunities for CALP graduates. IV. Policy Papers and Advocacy: Research on climate issues to inform policy and promote evidence-based decision-making.

Constitutional objectives
The organisation's charitable purposes are: The advancement of education on climate change issues and leadership skills with the aspiration of engaging, educating and empowering the next generation of leaders to take action on climate change thereby advancing environmental protection and improvement. In furtherance of these purposes, the activities of the organisation shall focus on those aged approximately 18 to 35 (recognising that there is under-representation of this age group at leadership level on climate change). The activities of the organisation may include but are not limited to: I. Providing education on leadership and climate change to young people, including the delivery of the Young Leaders Development Programme ('YLDP'). II. Promotion of climate change awareness and engagement through the delivery of events, such as the Youth Climate Summit. III. Encouraging continued engagement with climate change issues through the advancement of a YLDP alumni network. IV. Production of policy papers on climate change issues for the purpose of education and political engagement.
