02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
The charity raises funds to help fill the gap between the limited statutory local council provision and that which most parents and carers provide for their children. The charity also supports young people to thrive once they have left care. Funds are used to provide items, such as, birthday celebrations, days out, holidays, work experience and employment support items (travel costs, clothes, tools, etc.), education and training support, development of life skills and emergency living costs.

Constitutional objectives
4 The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: 4.1 to advance education. through provision and funding training opportunities for young people who live or have been resident in Tremanna and/or Braes (Braes was also known as “Wallace Crescent Children’s Home”). 4.2 to advance health. through maintaining and sustaining relationships with the young people who have been looked after within Tremanna and/or Braes and including them in social gatherings, activities and outings we will improve the mental health and meet the wellbeing indicators for looked after young people. 4.3 to provide recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life of the persons for whom the facilities or activities are primarily intended. by planned, managed and supervised day trips we aim to improve participants social, communication and timekeeping skills. 4.4 to support previous residents of Tremanna and/or Braes and their families with ongoing tenancy and independent living costs.
