02 Purpose and work
What the charity exists to do
We continue to manage the premises and promote community spirit in the local area, particularly Sandhead and Ardwell by holding services, events, weddings and funerals which are open and welcoming to all. We continue to promote the facility and look for ways to improve the community experience going forward. We maintain and keep in good order and repair the furnishings, plenishings and equipment of said Church and look to make improvements to the fabric of the building to maintain the look and feel of the Church to keep it in good order for the future.

4.1 The Company's objects are to promote the benefit of the communities of The Rhins of Galloway Wigtownshlre. particularly the Villages of Ardwell and Sandhead without distinction as to age sex ethnic origin nationality or political religious or other opinions, by associating with local authority voluntary organisations and Inhabitants In a common effort to provide or assist In the provision of facilities at Ardwell Church, Stranraer DG9 9NZ the objects of Improving the conditions of life for the said Inhabitants by the following. ? promote regulate and facilitate the use of said Church In ways conducive to the advancement of community development social welfare. recreation leisure activities and like purposes ? foster and encourage the participation and co-operation of the local community, voluntary organisations he relevant local authority and other her relevant bodies and associations in promoting and facilitating the use of said Church as aforesaid 4.2 To advance the arts, heritage, culture or science by maintaining and keeping in good order and repair the furnishings plenishings and equipment of said Church and, where appropriate and within the resources available to the Company to upgrade extend alter and improve the Church
