Constitutional objectives

The organisation's objects are: 4.1 The advancement of citizenship or community development, within our operating area of Castlemilk and surrounding areas, through coordinating and facilitating volunteering activities whereby time-banking credits instead of currency can be exchanged for services. our activities promote and encourage social inclusion. 4.2 In furtherance of this object we actively promote and coordinate volunteering opportunities and promote the value and benefits that volunteering can bring, both for the volunteers and those who benefit from their activities. 4.3 The relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through promoting the Castlemilk Community Timebank services particularly for those persons who are disadvantaged and vulnerable, such as the disabled, the aged, ex-offenders and the unemployed who are in need of such community initiatives and support. The project provides a structure for good neighbourliness within the area, providing excluded individuals and groups with the support they require to play a full and rewarding part in community life. 4.4 In furtherance of this object we promote, support and encourage reciprocity and sharing of resources amongst the residents of Castlemilk and surrounding areas, and local voluntary sector organisations operating there.
